In September, 55 local, state, and federal leaders met in Fitzgerald, Georgia to discuss economic development opportunities for the three networks participating in the Rural Partners Network (RPN) in the state.

The meeting was an opportunity to start building new relationships and share existing successes across the three newly developed networks.

The host network in Ben Hill County highlighted their own work of advancing commercial driver’s licensing training to address the need for truck drivers to grow the economy in the area.

The RPN’s first cohort was launched just a few months ago and the second slate of networks in new states will be announced later this month.
