Briefing: Data Resources for Rural Prosperity
Join RuralOrganizing.org Education Fund, USDA Rural Development, and the Department of the Treasury, Bureau of the Fiscal Service, for a learning session on navigating available data resources to help small towns and rural communities move meaningful projects forward. Small towns and rural communities deserve a fair share of federal investments to support prosperity and a high quality of life. When your community has a vision for what it needs, the next step is research to find examples of how other communities have found financial support for their projects and what kinds of funding sources are available. In this first of a two-part series on navigating federal data resources we will walk through the open data website, USAspending.gov, and USDA’s new Rural Data Gateway to help rural civic leaders find information and move their communities forward.
