To put it mildly we at RuralOrganizing are extremely excited that Vice President Harris chose Governor Tim Walz as her running mate.
Walz’s ties to rural communities run deep: He’s a teacher from rural Minnesota and has a long history of campaigning on rural issues while maintaining his commitment to his progressive values.
Without a doubt, Walz’s rural policy record as governor is one of the most impressive in the country. Walz is rural, progressive, and a champion of Native American rights and tribal sovereignty.
As a member of the Minnesota Democratic-Farmer-Labor (DFL) Party, Tim Walz represents a proud tradition of progressives who know how to deliver concrete solutions to the challenges facing small towns and rural communities.
