Bird: Granville Township using APRA money for Burtridge water lines

American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds are supporting a long-overdue infrastructure project in Licking County, Ohio; the Village of Granville and Granville Township have partnered to commit over $1.2 million to replace water pipes for residents of Burtridge subdivision.

Current, cast iron pipes are over 50 years old. A temporary solution of installing an automated flushing system was previously, employed, but a financial model equitable for both the Village and customers has been challenging; utilizing the ARPA funds allowed the work to move forward without a financial burden on customers.
