The Economic Development Administration (EDA) is still leveraging CARES Act into economic recovery, evidenced by a recent $3.7 million grant to the Lower Brule Sioux Tribe to build a grocery store on their Tribal Land.
Planning and Development District III, an entity funded by the EDA, is credited with the project, and the administration is touting the good workforce opportunities, increased access to quality food, and economic resilience for the area. The grocery store is expected to create 13 new jobs.
